Project Description
Fahrplan is a route planning tool for Windows Phone 7 that provides access to the timetables of more than 200,000 public transport stops and stations in Germany and Europe. The application is becoming increasingly popular in the DACH (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) region and is
freely available on Windows Phone Marketplace in languages English and German.
Open Source
The source code of Fahrplan is licensed under the Microsoft Public License (Ms-PL).
The application is entirely written in C# and leverages many tools including an MVVM-based presentation layer, a small UI framework, several facilities of the Windows Phone Platform such as the geolocation services, and third party components like Bing Maps and Runtime Intelligence from PreEmptive Solutions.
